‘Air Brush Jammed’, a collaboration program between the Ministry of Information, Communications, Arts and Culture and Shahputra College. The 10days program was held on 1-9 August 2009, offered various interesting activities including photography techniques and logo designing on helmets, motorcycles and cars.
‘Independence Day Celebration’ at college on 31 August 2009. The whole college community participated. Two of the Communication and Media students were appointed to be the Emcees .
A program called Shahputra College with District of Pekan Community was held on 21 February 2009 by semester 2 and 4 students. The purpose of this program was to apprehend mutual relationship with the community as well as promoting Shahputra College.
A day with ‘East Coast MARITIM Media’ on 7 & 8 February 2009 by Semester 4 students. The purpose of the program was to observe and record MARITIM activities. This program was also covered by Majalah 3 (TV show) on TV3.

Year 2008 Activities
Covering TV show called ‘Glamor Raya Astro’ in September 2008. All semester 3 students were involved in this live recording. The purpose of this involvement was to succeed and participated in the TV show.
In March 2008, there was a Sales Activity to gain extra fund for a program called ‘Program Muhibbah’ by semester 1 & 2 students. They managed to collect RM200 out of the sales.

About Our Programme
DIPLOMA IN COMMUNICATION AND MEDIA @ SHAHPUTRA COLLEGE
Students in this programme will undergo six semesters of studies in order to graduate with Diploma in Communication and Media. The faculty requires students to undertake three components of courses during the three-year programmes. These components are the requirements of university courses, faculty core courses and programme core courses.
Entry Requirements
Passed SPM / SPM(V) with 5 credit inclusive of:
Bahasa Melayu
English
Any other three subjects
Obtained a pass in Mathematics /
Additional Mathematics /
Pass in either Pre-Diploma in Science (PD008) or Commerce (PD003).
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the programme will have the opportunity to work in the public and private sectors. They will be supporting the professional and specialist groups in the areas of journalism, public relations, advertising, broadcasting, publishing, marketing, management, administration and other areas related to communication and the media.
